Depart from downtown Dublin to begin your direct service to one of the most unique landscapes in Ireland, the Giant’s Causeway. When you arrive, you’ll have two hours to explore this natural coastal attraction formed by basalt columns. The tour also includes a stop at the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge (optional), which you can walk across to view the rocky Atlantic coastline, plus two photo stops that fans of the TV series “Game of Thrones” will recognize. The first is Dark Hedges, an avenue of beech trees used as part of the royal road, where Arya Stark escaped from King’s Landing; the second is Dunluce Castle, used as the House of Greyjoy, located on the north coast of Antrim. It perfectly captures the atmosphere and intrigue of the medieval world. Your one-day getaway ends with a return to Dublin for the return transfer.

If your main goal is to see Giant’s Causeway like it was ours I suggest you book another Tour. We were disappointed on how little time we actually spent at this stop. Along with not enough time the driver/Tour guide didn’t give us enough information about where to go and we feel like we missed much of it. As we were told this was one of the best places to see we were sad the Tour didn’t focus more on this stop. We did thoroughly enjoy the rope bridge at Carrick a Rede though.

La Calzada del Gigante es un área de unas 40.000 columnas de basalto entrelazadas, resultado de una antigua erupción de fisuras volcánicas[3][4] Está situada en el condado de Antrim, en la costa norte de Irlanda del Norte, a unas tres millas (5 km) al noreste de la ciudad de Bushmills.

Fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1986 y reserva natural nacional en 1987 por el Departamento de Medio Ambiente de Irlanda del Norte. Es agradable ver la Calzada de los Gigantes pero el resto del viaje es de poco interés. Los comentarios del conductor eran escasos y las bromas eran muy largas e inapropiadas. Sin embargo, el viaje fue significativamente más barato que la alternativa del crucero.

Intentamos explicarle el día que no sería posible seguir su itinerario ya que estaba en un tour compartido y tenemos que tener en cuenta a los demás en el tour.Desafortunadamente la Calzada está a 1 hora y 15 minutos de Belfast y para ver la Calzada tenemos que hacer ese viaje por la autopista para llegar a la Calzada antes de que lleguen los otros autobuses del tour.Hemos explorado en los últimos 12 años todas las rutas posibles hacia y desde la Calzada y hemos decidido que ir directamente desde Belfast es la mejor ruta. Hablaremos con el conductor y le diremos que mantenga sus bromas cortas y dulces. Le recomendamos que la próxima vez que nos visite reserve una excursión privada y así podrá establecer su propio itinerario.
